Introduction
Love is the foundation of a life rooted in faith. Jesus taught that the greatest commandments are to love God with all our hearts and to love our neighbors as ourselves. But love is more than words—it’s action. It’s demonstrated through service, generosity, forgiveness, and intentional care for others.
This week, we focus on More Love, More Service—loving God and people at a deeper level. When we embody love in our daily lives, we reflect divine compassion and create ripples of transformation in the world around us. Love challenges us. It often requires us to step beyond our comfort zones, extend grace when it’s hard, and serve without expecting anything in return.
True love is the evidence of a life of faith. Let’s commit to not only growing in love but also expressing it in ways that impact those around us.

Day 15: Love in Action March 21
Scripture: 1 John 3:18 – "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."
Devotional:
Love isn’t just something we say—it’s something we do. Jesus didn’t simply talk about love; He showed it. He healed the sick, fed the hungry, comforted the broken, and ultimately gave His life for us. His love was tangible, active, and life-changing.
Real love moves. It listens. It serves. It sacrifices. It’s found in both the grand gestures and the small, everyday choices to uplift, encourage, and extend grace. Love isn’t about doing things for recognition but about seeing a need and responding with kindness.
God calls us to love selflessly—not out of obligation, but from a heart transformed by grace. Who in your life needs to experience love through action today? A simple act of kindness can be the very thing that reminds someone they are seen, valued, and loved.
Prayer:
God, help me to love beyond words. Open my eyes to opportunities to serve, encourage, and show kindness. Let my love be a reflection of Yours. Amen.
Action Step:
Identify one person who needs love today. Do something practical—send an encouraging message, offer help, or extend a kind gesture that meets a need.

Day 16: More Compassion for Others March 22
Scripture: Colossians 3:12 – "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience."
Devotional:
Compassion is at the heart of love in action. Jesus was constantly moved by compassion—whether healing the sick, feeding the hungry, or comforting the broken. He didn’t just see people’s needs; He responded to them. That same call is on us today.
True compassion goes beyond feeling sorry for someone—it means seeing people the way God sees them. It’s choosing kindness even when it’s inconvenient, offering grace instead of judgment, and stepping into someone else’s shoes with empathy.
Sometimes, we struggle to show compassion to those we think don’t "deserve" it. But Jesus never placed conditions on His love. He embraced the outcasts, shared meals with sinners, and forgave those who hurt Him. His example reminds us that compassion isn’t about who is worthy—it’s about who needs love.
When we choose compassion, we don’t just impact others—we transform our own hearts. Who in your life needs compassion today? Ask for the wisdom and strength to respond with love.
Prayer:
Lord, fill my heart with compassion. Help me see others through Your eyes and respond with kindness, patience, and love. Amen.
Action Step:
Take time today to show compassion to someone in need—whether through a kind word, a listening ear, or an act of service. Small acts of love make a big difference.

Sunday March 23rd
A Day for celebration and connection
Sundays are not included in the 40-day devotional, as they are set apart for worship, reflection, and receiving God’s Word. Use this time to engage in Sunday service, meditate on the message, and seek God’s presence.
Day 17: Serving with Joy March 24
Scripture: Mark 10:45 – "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Devotional:
Jesus, the greatest leader of all time, didn’t come demanding service—He came to serve. He washed the feet of His disciples, healed the broken, and ultimately gave His life for others. His example teaches us that true greatness is found in humility and service.
But service isn’t meant to be a chore—it’s an opportunity. When we serve with joy, we reflect divine love in a tangible way. Instead of seeing service as an obligation, what if we saw it as a privilege? A chance to be the hands and feet of love in a world that desperately needs kindness?
There is joy in knowing that even the smallest act of service can brighten someone’s day, lift a burden, or bring hope. Shifting from “I have to serve” to “I get to serve” changes everything. Where can you serve with joy today?
Prayer:
God, give me a heart that delights in serving others. Let my actions bring light, love, and encouragement. Help me to serve with joy and gratitude. Amen.
Action Step:
Find a way to serve today—whether at church, in your community, or right in your own home. Approach it with joy, knowing that even small acts of kindness make a big impact.

Day 18: More Generosity, More Blessings March 25
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 9:7 – "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
Devotional:
Generosity is a reflection of God’s heart. Everything we have—our time, talents, and resources—is a gift. When we give freely, we step into the flow of abundance, trusting that what we release will be multiplied in ways we can’t even imagine.
But generosity isn’t just about money. It’s about the way we show up for others, how we use our gifts to serve, and the love we extend without expecting anything in return. It’s easy to hold onto what we have out of fear of lack, but true faith reminds us that we are always provided for.
God doesn’t ask for what we don’t have—only that we be faithful with what we do. A generous heart is a grateful heart. Where can you be a blessing today? Look for an opportunity to give, whether big or small, and trust that your kindness will make an impact.
Prayer:
God, help me to be generous with all You have given me. Teach me to give with joy, knowing that You are my provider and that there is always more than enough. Amen.
Action Step:
Find a way to give generously today—whether through finances, time, encouragement, or a simple act of kindness. Trust that your generosity will create a ripple effect beyond what you can see.

Day 19: Loving Even When It’s Hard March 26
Scripture: Luke 6:27 – "But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you."
Devotional:
Loving those who love us is easy, but Jesus calls us to a higher standard—loving even those who are difficult, those who have hurt us, and those we would rather avoid. This kind of love isn’t based on how we feel or how others treat us—it’s a decision to extend grace, just as grace has been extended to us.
Loving doesn’t mean tolerating abuse or ignoring injustice. It means choosing forgiveness over bitterness, kindness over retaliation, and prayer over resentment. The world tells us to hold grudges, seek revenge, and cut people off when they fail us. But Jesus showed a different way. Even as He was being crucified, He prayed for those who hurt Him, saying, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34). If He could love in the midst of betrayal and suffering, we too are called to reflect that love—even when it’s hard.
Love is a daily choice.
Not because someone deserves it, but because we have already been loved beyond measure. Who in your life is difficult to love? Ask for the strength to see them through God’s eyes and respond with love today.
Prayer:
God, help me to love the way You love. Give me the strength to extend grace, even when it’s difficult. Let my love be a reflection of Your presence in my life. Amen.
Action Step:
Think of one person you struggle to love and pray for them today. If possible, take a step toward kindness—whether through a kind word, a small act of service, or simply choosing to let go of resentment. Love makes a difference, even when unseen.

Day 20: More Forgiveness, More Freedom March 27
Scripture: Ephesians 4:32 – "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
Devotional:
Forgiveness is one of the greatest expressions of love, yet it’s often the hardest thing to do. When we hold onto unforgiveness, we carry a heavy burden—one that keeps us bound to bitterness and pain. But Jesus teaches that forgiveness isn’t just an option; it’s a path to freedom. Just as we have been forgiven, we are called to extend that same grace to others.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean excusing what was done to us, nor does it mean allowing harmful behavior to continue. It means releasing the offense, trusting that justice belongs to God, and refusing to let past wounds control our future.
The truth is, forgiveness is not about the other person—it’s about your own heart. Holding onto resentment doesn’t harm the one who hurt you; it harms you. It keeps you tied to the past and blocks the peace and joy that God wants for your life. Jesus reminds us that if we do not forgive others, we too remain bound by our own shortcomings (Matthew 6:14-15). Choosing forgiveness is choosing healing, wholeness, and divine grace.
Who do you need to forgive today? Don’t let unforgiveness block the blessings that are waiting for you.
Prayer:
God, I release the pain and hurt I have been holding onto. Help me to forgive as You have forgiven me. Heal my heart and free me from bitterness so that I can walk in Your peace. Amen.
Action Step:
Write down the name of someone you need to forgive. Pray for them, and if possible, take a step toward releasing that hurt—whether it’s through prayer, a conversation, or simply deciding to let go.

Day 21: More Love for the Lost March 28
Scripture: Luke 15:4-7 – "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders."
Devotional:
God’s heart is always for the lost. Jesus came not for the perfect, but for those who were far from Him—offering love, grace, and redemption. The parable of the lost sheep reveals just how deep that love runs: God actively pursues those who wander, rejoices when they return, and never gives up on anyone.
If we want to reflect that love, we must cultivate the same heart for those who are struggling in their faith, those who don’t yet know God, and those who have walked away. Love for the lost isn’t passive—it calls for action. It means stepping outside our comfort zones, praying intentionally, and being willing to show kindness without expectation.
Sometimes, we assume people will find their way to faith on their own, but Jesus didn’t wait for people to come to Him—He sought them out. He calls us to do the same. If we truly love others, we will desire for them to experience the transformative power of God’s love. Who in your life needs that love today?
Prayer:
God, give me a heart that longs to see others come to know You. Help me to love those who feel far away, to pray for them, and to be a light that leads them toward You. Amen.
Action Step:
Think of one person in your life who feels distant from faith. Reach out to them today—through a kind word, encouragement, an invitation to church, or simply by praying for them. Love moves through action.
