Week 6: More Purpose, More Impact

April 15th - April 19th
April 15th - April 19th

Introduction

As we approach the final days of Lent, we take time to reflect on the purpose that has been placed in our lives. Living with purpose means seeking God’s kingdom first, bearing spiritual fruit, and boldly sharing faith. This week, we focus on stepping fully into our calling, making an impact in our communities, and carrying the presence of God beyond this season.

Purpose is not just for a select few—it is for all who desire to see transformation in the world around them. Each of us has been given unique gifts and opportunities to make a difference. Now is the time to move forward in faith, fully embracing the work we are meant to do.

Let’s step into this week with confidence, commitment, and the expectation that our lives will be used to bring lasting change.

Day 36: Living with Kingdom Purpose

Scripture: Matthew 6:33 – "But seek first the kingdom of God and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Devotional:

True purpose is found in seeking God above all else. When we prioritize divine purpose, everything else falls into place. The world encourages us to chase success, wealth, and security, but Jesus teaches that when we put God first, we can trust that our needs will be met.

Living with kingdom purpose means aligning our lives with God’s will. It means seeking presence daily, walking in obedience, and using our gifts for a greater purpose. Have you been focusing more on worldly concerns than on what truly matters? Shift your focus today and trust that when you put God first, everything else will align as it should.

Prayer:

God, I choose to seek Your kingdom above all else. Help me to align my heart with Your purpose and trust in Your provision. Let my life reflect what matters most. Amen.

Action Step:

Take an honest inventory of your daily priorities. What areas of your life need to shift so that God is first? Make one intentional change today to realign your focus.

Day 37: More Fruit, More Growth

Scripture: John 15:5 – "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."

Devotional:

Growth comes from staying connected to God. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit apart from the vine, we cannot fulfill our purpose without remaining deeply rooted in divine presence. Spiritual fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and more—flows from an intimate relationship with God.

If we desire to make an impact, we must prioritize connection over striving. A life that produces lasting fruit is one that remains in alignment with God’s will. Have distractions pulled you away? Have you been trying to do things in your own strength? Recommit yourself to staying close to God, and trust that growth will come as you remain in the Holy Spirit.

Prayer:

God, keep me rooted in You. Help me to grow and bear fruit that reflects Your love and brings glory to Your name. Teach me to remain in You daily. Amen.

Action Step:

Spend intentional time with God today—through prayer, worship, or Bible study. Ask for growth in a specific area of your life and be open to the ways God is pruning and strengthening you.

Day 38: Changing the City with the Gospel

Scripture: Acts 1:8 – "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Devotional:

The Gospel isn’t meant to be kept to ourselves—it’s meant to change lives and transform communities. Jesus calls us to be witnesses, carrying His love and truth to those around us. When we are empowered by the Holy Spirit, we can boldly share the Good News and be part of real change.

Your city, your workplace, your home—these are mission fields. You don’t have to be a preacher to make an impact. Every conversation, act of kindness, and moment of encouragement is an opportunity to reflect God’s love. Sharing your testimony, showing grace, and simply being present for someone in need can open doors for transformation.

Have you been intentional about spreading hope in your community? Ask God for opportunities to be a light where you are and trust that divine power is working through you.

Prayer:

God, use me to share Your love with others. Empower me through Your Spirit to be a bold witness for Your kingdom. Open my eyes to opportunities to serve, encourage, and spread the hope of the Gospel. Amen.

Action Step:

Think of one person or place where you can share the Gospel this week. Take intentional action—whether through conversation, prayer, or an act of service—trusting that even small seeds can lead to transformation.

Day 39: Walking in God’s Power Daily

Scripture: Luke 10:19 – "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you."

Devotional:

God has given us authority to walk in victory. Yet, too often, we live as if we are powerless, forgetting the strength that has been placed within us. The enemy wants to keep us discouraged, distracted, and doubtful, but Jesus reminds us that nothing can stand against those who walk in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Walking in God’s power means standing firm in faith, resisting fear, and declaring promises over our lives. It means living with confidence, knowing that we are more than conquerors. This power isn’t just for special moments—it’s for every day.

Are you living in the authority that has been given to you? Step into that power today. Walk in boldness, knowing that you are protected, strengthened, and equipped for every challenge ahead.

Prayer:

God, thank You for the authority and power You have placed within me. Help me to walk confidently in it every day. Strengthen me to overcome every obstacle and to stand firm in faith. Amen.

Action Step:

Speak a declaration of faith over yourself today. Remind yourself of the power you have in Christ—say it out loud, believe it, and walk in it.

Day 40: More of God for the Rest of Your Life

Scripture: Philippians 1:6 – "Being confident of this, that the One who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Devotional:

Lent may be ending, but your journey with God is far from over. The work that has been started in you is not finished—God is still shaping, refining, and preparing you for greater things. Spiritual growth is a lifelong process, and every step forward brings you deeper into divine purpose.

This season of seeking God doesn’t have to stop here. Let your hunger for more of God continue to grow. Keep pressing forward, keep trusting, and keep pursuing a life centered in faith. What has begun in you will be brought to completion.

Stay faithful, stay expectant, and watch as transformation continues beyond this season.

Prayer:

God, I commit to seeking You beyond this season. Keep my heart on fire for You, and continue the work You have begun in me. Let my life be a testimony of Your faithfulness and purpose. Amen.

Action Step:

Write a commitment letter to God, stating how you will continue to seek and grow in faith beyond Lent. Be intentional about setting spiritual goals that will help deepen your relationship with God.

Conclusion

As this Lenten journey comes to an end, the call to seek more of God does not. Spiritual growth is not confined to a season—it is a lifelong pursuit. Every step you have taken during these 40 days has drawn you closer to God’s presence, strengthened your faith, and prepared you for what lies ahead.

The lessons learned, the prayers prayed, and the commitments made should not be left behind but carried forward. Continue seeking wisdom, walking in faith, loving boldly, and living with purpose. Trust that the work God has begun in you will continue to unfold in ways greater than you can imagine.

As a church, we are called to Follow God, Love People, and Change the City. Let this journey be a foundation for deeper intimacy with God, greater compassion for others, and a commitment to making a lasting impact in the world around you. Keep pressing forward, keep growing, and keep walking in the fullness of all that God has for you.
